Before we touch the software
Every job starts with a full diagnostic health check. We scan every module, check live data and look for anything that could make tuning unsafe — weak coils, boost leaks, sensor drift. If the car isn't healthy, we tell you and we don't tune it. Simple as that.
The remap itself
We read your ECU's original software — either through the OBD port or directly on the bench for newer locked ECUs — and write a custom calibration for your exact engine, mileage and fuel. The new file is flashed back, then we take the car for a logging drive to confirm boost, fuelling and temperatures are all where they should be.
What changes on the road
The first thing most people notice is the mid-range — overtakes need less planning and the throttle feels sharper everywhere. Typical gains are in the region of 30–60 hp depending on the engine, with a healthy torque increase alongside. Many diesels also return better fuel economy when driven the same way, because the engine works more efficiently.
The common worries, answered
Will it hurt the engine? Not when it's done properly — we stay within safe tolerances for boost, fuelling and temperatures. Can it be reversed? Yes, we keep your original file and can return the car to stock at any time. Should I tell my insurer? Yes — most only adjust the premium slightly, and it's not worth the risk of not declaring it.
